"Beautiful period costumes, a gorgeous set, and talented actors. These are things you might expect to see in a high budget film—not a student production. But that's the case for this rendition of Little Women.
The script is taken directly from Louisa May Alcott's beloved story, and though edited for length, stays true to the original tale. The actors and actresses understand and connect to the characters they are playing. Danielle, especially, playing Jo March, truly seemed to become the tomboy character. The actress playing Mrs. March took on the motherly role very naturally, and the other actors did equally as well--the family connection is evident throughout the film. The costumes are appropriate and lovely—fitting to the era and beautifully designed. And the set, a single house, suits the movie perfectly.
The mix of all these factors results in an absolutely gorgeous and enjoyable film that I will watch again and again, and highly recommend."
